Curly Hair Routine Tips and Tricks: Get Hydrated and Bouncy Curls/Waves

Do you have curly hair that looks dull, frizzy, and undefined? You're not alone!

Unlock the secret to stunning curls with our Curl routine. Follow these five simple steps for a complete wash routine that will leave your hair looking and feeling fabulous:

Step 1: Cleanse

Start with soaking wet hair—curly hair craves hydration. Dispense one pump of our co-wash into the palm of your hand, massage it into your scalp, then add more water and massage again. Rinse thoroughly. Remember, the golden rule is to wash for a minute and rinse for a minute. Repeat this step to ensure your hair is squeaky clean without any product buildup.

Our cleanser is a unique blend of shampoo and conditioner, cleansing your scalp while moisturizing your locks and maintaining your hair's natural pH balance. For an extra cleanse, consider using a scalp brush to remove any dirt or dry skin buildup.

Step 2: Condition

Apply conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Use a wet brush or wide-tooth comb to distribute the conditioner evenly, then rinse thoroughly.

Step 3: Leave-In / Wonderfoam

Apply one pump of leave-in conditioner or a dollop of Wonderfoam to your palms. Work the product into soaking wet hair, avoiding towel drying or squeezing out excess water. Brush through from roots to ends using a wet brush. Adjust the amount based on your hair's density and length. For Wonderfoam, rub the foam into your hands to create a creamy texture before applying.

Step 4: Gel

Apply an equal amount of gel over the leave-in conditioner. Follow the same process as before, ensuring even distribution from roots to ends.

Once you're out of the shower, or to minimize mess, avoid towel-drying your hair. Instead, flip your hair upside down and rake through your roots with your fingers, gently separating your curls. Cup your curls and squeeze them towards your roots to encourage curl formation. Then, using a microfiber towel or cotton t-shirt, gently squeeze your curls upwards towards the roots.

Step 5: Dry

Flip your hair back upright and position your parting and curls. Allow your hair to air dry without touching it. The gel will create a crunchy cast over your curls, sealing in moisture and defining your curls. Once your hair is completely dry, scrunch your curls to break the cast, leaving you with smooth, bouncy, and defined curls.

Remember, consistency is key. Once you've mastered the routine, achieving beautiful curls will become effortless. For extra care, consider using silk scrunchies and pillowcases, or spritzing your hair with a mixture of water and leave-in cream to refresh your curls in the morning. Just be sure to shake the spray bottle before each use.

Here's to embracing your curls with confidence!
